Eliminate messy cabinet order

When I meet with families about planning their new home or renovating their home, the question always arises, what happens in your wardrobe?
I'm also asking questions like how many clothes and bedding do you have? Do you every season move between winter and summer clothes and vice versa? Do you usually hang clothes like dresses, coats, and suits, or are you all folded up? Do you have a separate closet for bedding, blankets and towels, or is it all together and the most important question is are you even neat people or is your closet always messy?

Why do these questions matter? Because many families tell me that they want a wardrobe or a large walk-in closet, with lots of shelves, and lots of drawers, and a place for long, low hanging, that everything will be accessible and comfortable, and other similar answers.

During my years of work, I noticed that the Israeli wardrobe is averagely larger than the European closet where there is use of a floor-to-ceiling closet including bodiham, and certainly from the Asian closet characterized by a provocative chest, with a stump rack on the side and a separate cupboard for bedding, towels and sleeping mattresses.
By contrast, the American walk-in closet is planned very differently. The American walk-in closet is a room for all intents and purposes, or part of the bedroom space, which is designed as an internal room or niche that can be entered

So what makes the Israeli wardrobe unique?

As I wrote before, the Israeli wardrobe is large. Each bedroom has a closet, usually 1.20m wide or more wide. In the early years of the establishment of the state, the coffins were very similar to the European coffins, floor to ceiling, with many high storage cheeks. In recent years, many families have introduced TVs and audio systems into the closets, which come at the expense of storage space. In addition, some cabinets also have a makeup area, cosmetics and even safes. In the walk-in closets we can also find binders, various folders, albums and other family items.
So the traditional wardrobe has over the years become a multipurpose storage unit.

How is the Israeli family lifestyle different from other families in the world?

If I compare an average Israeli family to a European family, then in Israel we tend to keep our clothes for a large number of years, and sometimes decades. In Europe, it is customary every few years to "refresh" the closet, and to give the donation old clothes that are not in regular use. So the storage space remains small.
In Asia, due to the plight of the place, and the need to live a minimalist life, people do not accumulate property and clothing that they do not need.
In Israel, as in the UNITED States, the culture of consumption and abundance encourages us to purchase and crowds. From everything, anytime, whether we need it or not. And like in the U.S., most of us tend to keep and store things. Nothing is thrown in the trash or not passed on.

How can we rearrange the wardrobe?

A question to think : If our closet is large, and we have wardrobes and storage in each room, then why do we feel that we do not have enough space to do so?
The answer is of course, as I wrote before, the cabinets are used to store everything including everything. The solution to this problem is relatively simple, but for most of us, it's really not easy. All we have to do is rearrange, sort and even throw away everything we don't need or use.
Before you invite an architect or interior designer to fix your wardrobe mess, there are a few things you can do alone. Kind of DIY DIY.

First, open all the closets, and see how many clothes you have. A couple of socks, lingerie, tank tops, shirts, pants. Now check which one you're using and who you're not using.  The clothes you haven't worn for more than three years will be recyclable. That way you will do good for both you and other people.
Secondly, open your drawers, and notice how many towels and bedding are in them, how many are old and worn, and how much of a size that does not fit your mattress or you. Even now you will leave only what is in good condition, and the rest will be passed on to nonprofits like Animal Welfare. They always need bedding and towels.
Third, separate the winter and summer clothes from the day-to-day clothes and the festive clothes. And as before, you will sort into two piles:
1.Leave – put in upper cabinets or in one dedicated cabinet.
    2. Give to donations – there are many bodies and nonprofits that will be happy to receive them from you. If you want a list, I'll be happy to give it to you.
And lastly, all your 'paperwork' – binders, notebooks, albums, sheets of accounts, take out of your closets, sort, and put in one neat drawer. They probably shouldn't lie in your wardrobe.
And look, it's a wonder, all of a sudden you see the shelves, the closets don't burst out of clothes.
And more advice on the way, try to buy less. When you buy less, you have more control over your financial expenditure, and you also know exactly that the clothes you have, you like to wear the most.
