The United States, full of malls of every kind, now does not know what to do with those huge structures — concrete monsters. Due to its sheer size, and the amount of open spaces allowed for construction, many of these shopping centers simply do not have much real estate value. There are cases in which these structures stand desolate – ghost structures, when real estate developers do not want to purchase them for the purpose of converting to another designation, or dismantling for the purpose of new construction. Their monetary value is very low, and not always purchaseable.
